Toddlers
Ages 18 Months – 2½ Years
Our Toddler Program is designed for children who are eager to explore, communicate, and gain independence. During this important stage of development, toddlers are rapidly expanding their language, learning to navigate social relationships, and developing the confidence to do more on their own. At Semillitas Learning Center, we provide a structured yet flexible environment where children are encouraged to discover, imagine, and grow at their own pace.
Through daily experiences in both English and Spanish, toddlers naturally develop communication skills while participating in circle time, storytelling, music, art, sensory exploration, outdoor play, and hands-on learning activities. Our bilingual approach allows children to build strong language foundations while engaging with the world around them in meaningful and joyful ways.
Guided by the Creative Curriculum® framework and rooted in Christian values, our teachers create engaging learning experiences that support the whole child. Every activity is intentionally designed to strengthen cognitive development, physical coordination, social-emotional growth, and spiritual formation while fostering independence, creativity, and confidence.
We believe families are essential partners in a child's development. Through Brightwheel updates, progress reports, photos, and ongoing communication, parents remain actively involved in their child's learning journey every step of the way.
What Children Experience
Cognitive Development
Children engage in imaginative play, problem-solving activities, daily bilingual circle time, books, music, puzzles, and hands-on learning experiences that strengthen communication, creativity, and critical thinking skills.
Physical Development
Through running, climbing, jumping, sensory exploration, art projects, outdoor activities, and self-help routines, toddlers develop coordination, independence, and confidence in their physical abilities.
Social & Emotional Development
Children learn to share, take turns, communicate feelings, solve simple conflicts, and participate in group experiences while building healthy relationships with peers and teachers. Daily routines provide structure, security, and opportunities for growing independence.
Spiritual Development
Christian music, simple prayers, Bible stories, and character-building experiences help children develop an understanding of kindness, gratitude, honesty, empathy, and respect in age-appropriate ways.
