Little Tots
Ages 12 – 18 Months
At Semillitas Learning Center, our Little Tots Program is designed for children who are beginning to explore the world with growing confidence and independence. During this exciting stage of development, toddlers are taking their first steps, speaking their first words, and discovering new ways to interact with the people and environment around them. Our program provides a safe, nurturing, and engaging space where curiosity is encouraged and every milestone is celebrated.
Through a bilingual learning environment, children are immersed in both English and Spanish throughout the day. Songs, stories, movement activities, art experiences, daily routines, and play-based learning naturally introduce vocabulary and communication skills in both languages. This consistent exposure supports early language development while helping children feel comfortable expressing themselves in multiple ways.
Using the Creative Curriculum® framework and guided by Christian values, our teachers create meaningful experiences that support the whole child. Activities are carefully designed to promote cognitive growth, physical development, social-emotional learning, and spiritual formation while allowing children the freedom to explore, experiment, and learn through play.
Strong partnerships with families remain at the heart of everything we do. Through daily communication, photos, updates, and ongoing collaboration, parents stay connected to their child's learning journey and developmental progress.
What Children Experience
Cognitive Development
Children participate in interactive play, music, stories, sensory activities, simple puzzles, and hands-on exploration that encourage curiosity, problem-solving, and early language development in both English and Spanish.
Physical Development
Daily opportunities for walking, climbing, balancing, art projects, sensory exploration, and outdoor play help strengthen both gross and fine motor skills while encouraging active learning and independence.
Social & Emotional Development
Through nurturing relationships, group experiences, music, movement, and positive guidance, children learn to build trust, express emotions, interact with others, and develop confidence in themselves and their abilities.
Spiritual Development
Christian songs, simple blessings, Bible stories, and a classroom culture rooted in love, peace, gratitude, kindness, and respect gently introduce children to faith in age-appropriate ways.
