Program Overview
Infants
Ages 6 Weeks – 12 Months
At Semillitas Learning Center, we believe every baby arrives with unique potential waiting to be nurtured. Our Infant Program provides a warm, safe, and loving environment where children receive individualized attention, responsive care, and meaningful early learning experiences during the most important stage of development.
Through a thoughtfully designed bilingual environment, infants are naturally introduced to both English and Spanish from their earliest days. Everyday moments such as feeding, play, music, storytime, and caregiver interactions become opportunities for language development, connection, and discovery. Research shows that early exposure to multiple languages supports cognitive growth and communication skills, helping children build a strong foundation for lifelong learning.
Guided by the Creative Curriculum® framework and grounded in Christian values, our caregivers intentionally support each child's cognitive, physical, social-emotional, and spiritual development through nurturing relationships and age-appropriate experiences. Every activity is designed to encourage curiosity, strengthen confidence, and help infants explore the world around them in a way that feels safe and joyful.
Families are an essential part of the learning journey. Through daily communication, milestone updates, and ongoing partnership, parents remain connected to their child's growth and development every step of the way. Together, we create a foundation of trust, love, and support that helps every child flourish.
What Children Experience
Cognitive Development
Children engage in sensory exploration, music, storytelling, and interactive play experiences that encourage curiosity, early problem-solving, and brain development. Daily exposure to books, songs, and age-appropriate materials helps infants begin making meaningful connections with the world around them.
Physical Development
Through supervised tummy time, movement activities, and opportunities to reach, grasp, crawl, and explore, infants develop strength, coordination, and motor skills at their own pace within a safe and supportive environment.
Social & Emotional Development
Consistent caregivers provide the nurturing relationships infants need to feel secure and valued. Through responsive care, positive interactions, and gentle guidance, children begin developing trust, confidence, and early social awareness.
Spiritual Development
Simple blessings, age-appropriate Bible stories, Christian music, and a culture rooted in kindness, gratitude, and love help introduce children to faith in a gentle and meaningful way.
